Topo and GPS tracks for todays ~8.5mi, 2300ft gain outing to Round Top and the nearby Sister. Round Top was my 23rd Tahoe OGUL peak. (And I have no idea where I'm at with the SPS list)

Parked at the PCT trailhead at Carson Pass, paid my $5, and headed south. There quite alot of casual hiker traffic on the portion between the trailhead and Lake Winnemucca.

The first mile or so was forested with only occasional views- like this early view of Elephants Back

First glimpse of Round Top looming to the south.

The PCT passed by frog lake, but not close enough for a good view.

The trail junction with the Winnemucca Lake trail and the PCT, which diverged to the left to head down toward the Blue Lakes. The Sisters now visible to the right of Round Top.

A little tuft of cloud over Round Top. Today started clear, but clouds started rolling in from the east as the outing progressed.

Looking back with Red Lake Peak the dominant feature on the north horizen. (Not sure what peak that is on its left- maybe Tallac?)

Very picturesque meadow with the expansive view and the flowers blooming. (Panorama is looking down the Woods Lake drainage towards Caples Lake)
