Topo and GPS tracks for today's ~15.5mi, 5000ft gain out-and-back outing from the Bayview Trailhead above Emerald Bay.

Dicks is my 20th Tahoe OGUL Peak.

The Desolation wilderness sign and permit station at the trailhead. This is also the trailhead for Cascade Falls- that trail headed left, my route to the right.

The first mile or two was steeply and steadily uphill towards the cleavage of Maggie's Peaks.

Nice overlook of Emerald Bay (And Hwy 89 above it) a short distance up the trail. The Eagle Falls trailhead is at the bend in the highway.

Passed above Granite Lake which had a couple parties camped alongside it.

Switchbacking up towards Maggies Peaks. Started playing leapfrog with a Dick's Lake bound backpacker near here. He'd pass me on the uphills, I'd pass him on the down.
