Topo and GPS tracks for today's 12.5 mi/4300ft gain outing from the Ebbetts Pass PCT trailhead to Highland Peak. This was my 2nd trip down into Noble Canyon- the first was for a snowy early season ascent of Tryon Peak in 2008.

Got to the trailhead a little after 9. Bunch of cars at the trailhead- but I'd only see one other party all day. The trailhead is a bit off of the PCT itself and requires following a short spur trail to reach the PCT proper.

Junction of the spur trail and the PCT. Right turn heads north across Hwy 4 and into the Mokulumne Wilderness. South (my route) heads toward Noble Canyon and the Carson-Iceberg wilderness. (Though at this specific point, the Northbound PCT is heading south and vice versa)
