Topo and GPS tracks for today's 8mil 1500ft gain outing to Genoa Peak.

Genoa is my 4th peak from the Tahoe OGUL list and is the closest peak to my apartment.

The trailhead was the northbound TRT kingsbury trailhead at the back of the kingsbury grade housing development.

Had two options from the trailead- the forest road and the TRT. Opted to take the forest road as it looked to be slightly shorter.

The road headed steeply up from the trailhead parking lot.

There were a couple long unrelenting uphill sections on the way north.

This large dirt field was about a mile in. Motorbikers had turned the thing into a bit of a terrain park, with tracks criscrossing in every direction.

The route was tree tagged for snow travel and much of it also had PVC plow poles along the sides.
