This was my 2nd outing of the summer- A ~10mi trip south on the TRT from Spooner Summit with a short steep scramble side trip up the little climbed Duane Bliss Peak. Forgot my camera so this album is all camera phone shots.

Heading south onto the trail. The first mile or so was steadily uphill.

I'd be heading offtrail before hitting the 3mi intersection with Genoa Peak Road.

Looking back at the parking lot. This lot was under construction last year when I was last at this trailhead.

First glimpse over to the Desolation Wilderness on the far side of the lake. Still a lot of snow up there.

The rounded top of South Camp peak. I had contemplated adding that to my days itenerary, but eventually turned back at the snow line.

Duane Bliss popping into view as I crested the ridge. The summit is off to the right and I needed to continue down the TRT a bit more before starting the bushwack
